Before work today there was someone knocking on the door. It's usually, my friend, the UPS guy, or the Jehovah's Witness people. Today it was the latter. I don't really mind listening to them share whatever they have to say. But this guy was like, "Do you believe in Satan?" I felt like I was being asked a trick question. So I responded with a meek and hesitant, "I know he exsists.."
How I really wanted to respond was with a funny face, scream 'OOOGA BOOOGA', then shut the door, and continue to get ready for work.
Anyways, dude left me some pamphlets about the Occult. I said I'd read them so I will.

I appreciate the honesty. If you're interested in reading whatever the info is about, then take it. If you're not interested... Just say that. We're not a bunch of crazy people. We don't force anyone to take literature. Sadly some ppl just feel like saying "okay" will get rid of us sooner. :( And that kinda hurts my feelings. Just be honest with us. We appreciate that.
ReplyDeleteI agree that his question may have been a bit odd, but do you know? .... Had you done the "ooga booga" thing, they would have been no doubt stunned at first but had a really great laugh about it later. :) Never forget that we're just normal ppl with beliefs that are different than most.
I'm one of jehovah's witnesses too, of course you could tell that by now I'm sure. ;) there are 7 million+ of us all around the world so you'll prolly see us again sometime.
